I was the Art Director for Beyond Communications, a Customer magazine publishing company running the art department of 5 designers across a host of titles.

 

I have worked on both customer and retail magazines. My expertise is shown in the calibre of publishers I have worked with: Think, Dennis, Redwood, Citrus (Now John Brown) IPC and BBC, designing business to business magazines for the likes of Ford Cars, Royal Bank of Scotland, Natwest Bank, Harvey Nichols, BBC Good Food, Rover Cars, Institute of Marketing and Compuserve.

 

Within the consumer magazine industry, I freelanced on titles such as Cosmopolitan, Marie Clare, Ideal Home, Grand Designs and Women's weeklies for Bauer.

 

During my career as a magazine designer, I would work with the new business team developing new concepts and pitching to clients. We had a good success rate and were able to work with a number of the clients on an on-going basis following the successful pitch.
